Florida roofs fail in Florida ways.
Most of the damage we see around the bay is not old age alone. It is a summer of afternoon thunderstorms, salt in the air near the water, sun that cooks shingles to brittle, and then one tropical system that finds the slope that was already tired. The 2024 season showed it plainly: Helene pushed water into the bay, and Milton followed two weeks later with winds that tore at roofs across the region.
So we look at a roof the way the weather will: edges, ridges, flashing and the deck underneath, not just the shingles you can see from the driveway.
- Florida-licensed, insured contractors. Roofing is a state-licensed trade here, and the license number goes on your written proposal.
- Permits handled. City of Tampa jobs go through Construction Services; unincorporated addresses through Hillsborough County Development Services.
- Approved materials. Every shingle, tile, panel and underlayment we install carries a Florida Product Approval.
- Claims, with you. We document the damage and meet your adjuster on the roof. What the policy pays is between you and your insurer.
The phone line
Our call assistant takes every call, day or night, notes the address and the damage, and a person calls back to set the visit.
The inspection
Roof and attic checked, photos sent to you, and no charge whether or not you hire us.
Written price
One price on paper before any work starts, so the number at the end is the number you agreed to.
What happens after you reach out
You call or send the form
Tell us the address and what you have noticed. A drip, a missing shingle, a branch, or just a roof that is getting on in years.
A roofer comes out
Usually within a day or two, sooner after a storm. The roof and attic get checked and photographed.
You get it in writing
What is wrong, what we would do and what it costs, with the photos attached so you can compare quotes.
The work, then the inspection
We pull the permit when one is needed, do the job, and leave the site clean. Reroofs end with the final inspection.
Questions we hear every week
Short answers here. The full roofing FAQ covers lifespans, warranties, permits and more.
Do you work with my insurance company after a storm?
Yes. We photograph and measure the damage, give you a written scope, and can meet the adjuster at the property. Coverage decisions and your deductible are set by your policy, not by us.
Can a few missing shingles wait?
Not for long in this climate. The next afternoon storm can push water under the gap and into the deck. A small repair now is far cheaper than drywall and decking later.
Do you repair tile roofs or only replace them?
Both. Cracked or slipped tiles can usually be replaced one by one. If the underlayment beneath the tiles has worn out, we will show you photos and explain the options.
Does a new roof need a permit in Tampa?
Yes. A reroof needs a building permit and a final inspection. We pull it through the City of Tampa or Hillsborough County, depending on where the home is.
