Roof repair in Tampa, done before the next downpour
Most roofs we are called to do not need replacing. They need the one weak spot fixed properly, and soon.
The repairs we do most
A Tampa roof gets hammered by sun all year and by thunderstorms most summer afternoons. Small failures add up: a shingle tab that lost its seal, a nail that backed out, a tile knocked loose when someone cleaned the gutters. Any of them lets water reach the deck.
- Replacing missing, creased or wind-lifted shingles and re-sealing the tabs around them
- Swapping cracked or slipped concrete and clay tiles
- Re-flashing chimneys, walls, skylights and roof-to-wall joints
- New pipe boots and vent collars where the rubber has cracked
- Ridge and hip caps re-set after wind
- Soft or rotted decking cut out and replaced under the repair

How a repair visit goes
The roofer walks the roof, checks the attic under the problem area, and photographs both. You get a written price for the repair before anything is pulled up. If the roof is near the end of its life and patching would be money thrown away, we tell you that too, with the photos to back it.
A rule of thumb we use: if the same slope has needed three repairs in a few years, it is time to talk about replacing that slope or the roof. See the roof repair cost guide for typical price drivers.
Questions about roof repair
How fast can you come out for a repair?
Usually within one or two days. After a big storm the wait can be longer, but anything with water coming in gets a tarp first.
Will the new shingles match?
We match color and style as closely as current products allow. Older shingles fade, so a fresh patch can look darker for a season or two.
Do small repairs need a permit?
Small repairs often do not. Larger repairs and anything that becomes a reroof go through the City of Tampa or Hillsborough County permit process, and we pull it.

We call you back the same day to pick a time. Inspections and replacement estimates cost nothing; on a repair, the roofer prices it before work begins.
